I think it would be unethical to deport them since they were brought into the country being underage and they do not have any other country of residence. They were brought by their parents who entered the country illegally. However, these children have spent a most of their life in the county and have even graduated from our high schools and sending them away at this time would be unethical. This act addresses the issue of how they would go about to attain their legal status. The act has several advantages as granting citizenship to these young men and women will contribute to the military’s recruitment efforts. Once these young people complete college, they will pay taxes and this will have economic benefits for the country as revenue collections will increase significantly. The act also makes the country more competitive on the global map as it will make the country have the highest number of college graduates in the world. The immigration department will then focus its attention on illegal immigrants who pose a threat to the country’s security. Due to the above reasons, these young people should be allowed to stay in the country provided they meet the requirements of the act. There should be a set age limit regarding their status.
